ENTRIES 01 & 02

Issuance is the act by which an object enters circulation bearing the authority of the body that released it. A coin is issued. A decree is issued. A relic is issued. What is issued carries the mark of where it came from. The mark is permanent, and it makes a claim on whoever holds it.

Entries 01 and 02 are issued together, two halves of one act. The Article Tee carries the terms. Seven articles, fixed and declarative. The law as it was given. The Nail Tee carries what the law costs to keep. One is the word. The other is the wound. Where one states, the other shows.

A culture stops organising itself around inherited covenants, but the act of issuance does not disappear. It relocates. What was once handed down by scripture is now handed down by labour. The maker sets terms for an object before it exists, and the material bears the cost of meeting them. Entries 01 and 02 are issued in that spirit. Terms and consequence. Bound to the same body, worn at once.
